Purbeck Gundog School Awayday Sunday 17th May

As you may be aware, we have recently been served notice to leave our training grounds at Stapehill and are unable to continue to train there. The new owners have decided they want everyone who uses the land including the tenants of the cottages to vacate. This has come as a shock but the team have been working hard to secure a new training ground and we have a couple of options in the pipeline which we hope will work out.

Whilst we are in the process of these negotiations we are keen that your training should not be interrupted and we have been offered the chance of a one-off awayday training on some fantastic ground on an estate which hosts a shoot. Many of you know our good friend Neil Varney and he has kindly offered us the chance to train on his ground at Moorwood on the Dorset/Somerset border. The estate is just over an hour’s drive from Stapehill and although this is a long way to go it will really be worth it for you to train with your dogs on some proper gundog ground with a large area of white grass and reeds, lovely woodland and ponds.
The day will replace our scheduled training session next Sunday 17th May and will start at 10am for all groups and we will have a day’s training stopping for lunch (please bring your own). We will finish by 3pm. The cost for the day is £5

This is a great opportunity for us to train our dogs on some proper shoot land and with help from Neil so we hope you will be able to take advantage of this while we get something more permanent in place.

To get an idea of numbers could you please let Sandra know as soon as possible if you would like to come along on 07850 466622 or sandrablake.32@gmail.com and I will reply with directions for those who have not been to Moorwood before.

Thank you all for your patience and understanding during this time and hopefully normal service will resume as soon as possible.
